French Angora Wool Rolags
Donated by "Violet", my multi-Best of Breed winning sable pearl doe. These rolags are created from her last show coat. They were sheared from her prime wool, hand carded and then rolled into ready to spin rolags. These are perfect for your next luxury yarn or garment.
You will receive 1/2 ounce, about 6-7 rolags. Since she is a sable pearl, her wool is ivory and may have some guard hairs that are tipped in a darker color. These are not imperfections, and are perfectly normal, and minimal in her case, for a pearl colored angora.
Angora is known for its softness, thin fibers (12-16 microns), and what knitters refer to as a halo (fluffiness). It is also known for its silky texture. It is much warmer and lighter than wool due to the hollow core of the angora fiber. It also gives it its characteristic floating feel.
